Yes -- Kirkwood Library Services has a college-wide subscription to the Wall Street Journal website.

Activate your own account:

  1. Any current Kirkwood student or employee may activate their own account for free, using their Kirkwood email.
  2. Follow this URL to activate your account to Kirkwood's subscription: http://wsj.com/KirkwoodCC
  3. Fill out the form to register your email and create a password:
    1. Select account type from the dropdown selection box.
    2. You must use an email ending with @kirkwood.edu or @student.kirkwood.edu.
    3. Create a password of your choosing.
    4. You may opt out of receiving email updates, however you do need to select the 2nd box that you agree to conditions.
    5. You need to click on the link you receive in an email to confirm your account activation.
  4. Individual accounts are good for a year, then must be reactivated.

Yearly renewal (reactivation)

  1. Use the same link given above that you used to activate.
  2. Select "already have an account" and use your existing email and password to log in. This will renew your access.

If WSJ.com logs in, but doesn't show you have a subscription:

Please follow these steps to reactivate, if you WSJ.com shows you are logged in, but still doesn't allow you to see as many articles as you want:

  1. Logout of WSJ
  2. Clear the cache/cookies of your browser (See links below for directions on clearing cache)
  3. Activate / reactivate through WSJ.com/KirkwoodCC
  4. Look for an email from WSJ and click on the link to confirm your account activation.

If you have any problems creating or renewing an account, contact a librarian (see Ask a Librarian on this page).
